Abstract: The project voice controlled trolley uses the technologies of speech recognition using VB, 8 –bit micro- controller and 2 Zigbee protocol. Trolley is controlled by an 8 –bit micro- controller PIC. It is controlled by the system and a remote control unit. The voice is taken with the help of a mic and is fed to the VB application. Speech samples are identified according to the codes corresponding to each samples. These codes are sent to the remote trolley through Zigbee module. The microcontroller at the trolley end decodes the codes and turns the wheels using an H- bridge corresponding to the codes. The trolley is equipped with wireless camera. This camera takes and transmits the images which can be viewed at the remote location. The TV receiver also has a wireless unit to receive data from the remote trolley. The same images can be viewed on a PC by making use of tuner card. The remote control unit consists of a PIC and a keypad, 2 Zigbee modules. The operator can control the remote trolley using keypad. The keystrokes from keypad are sent to the microcontroller and it sends the code to remote trolley through Zigbee module. The microcontroller at the trolley decodes and turn the wheels corresponding to the obtained codes. Thus the trolley will not be out of control even if voice control fails
