This project was to find out the factors influencing consumers’ purchase of laptop and to get the consumer to accept the company’s laptop in Cochin.
Respondents are classified on factors such as age, sex, occupation, and monthly salary.
The behaviour of these respondents is found out with respect to factors like Price, Configuration, Service, Appearance, Brand Image, Availability of finance, Battery back up, Offers, Dealer and friend’s suggestion while purchasing a laptop.

Four major factors that influence a customer while purchasing a laptop are configuration, service, price and brand image. Business users give more importance to after sales service and brand image.
39% of respondents prefer monitor size of 14.1 inch. 73% of the respondents prefer Intel processors. The satisfaction level of company’s laptops is more than its competitors.
The majority of respondents prefer financial assistance if the interest rate is low even though the EMI and down payment is more.
The company has been advised to conduct more branding activities and introduce models with more entertainment features |
