The decision-making is becoming difficult day by day due to the influence of many factors such as constraints of resources, highly competitive market environment, rapidly changing science and technology and everexpanding knowledge base etc. The vast data and varied alternatives that a decision-maker is to handle for arriving at the right decision is beyond human capacity. Therefore the decision-maker has to adopt quantitative techniques with computer support. The OR techniques are highly suitable for decision-makers to identify alternatives, evaluate their merits and demerits and to choose the right alternative. The decision-maker shall be
